Doug has never met a song that he didn't like. From Handel to Deep Purple to Jimmy Smith, he has stolen licks from the famous to the infamous. He has even made up a few of his own over the years. Doug grew up in the Reno / Sparks area of Nevada and for a short time dated one of Howard Hughes daughters. When he was 9 years old he told his parents that he wanted to play the drums. They said that was fine but he had to learn something musical first, so he started taking organ lessons. Bands with names like “The In humans” and the “The Soul Seekers” fill up Doug's musical resume. After moving to Portland in 1979, Doug met Jon via Doug's "Bad Santa" side business and the result of that chance encounter has developed into a cosmic avenue of collective expression. Doug’s style ranges from soulful and jazzy, to screaming garment rending.
